Pierre Todorov is joining PSA Peugeot Citroën effective 1 March 2011 and will be appointed Corporate Secretary on September 1st 2011, replacing Jean-Claude Hanus who is retiring after 39 years with the Group.
Following a period of becoming familiar with the Group and its operations, Mr. Todorov will gradually take over the Corporate Secretary's responsibilities, which include Legal Affairs, Institutional Relations, Property, Internal Audit and Control, and Risk Management.
Pierre Todorov will report to Philippe Varin, Chairman of the Managing Board, and will be a member of the Executive Committee. He will also serve as Secretary of the Supervisory Board.
Pierre Todorov was General Secretary of the Accor group from 1997 to 2008, when he became a partner with Hogan Lovells. A graduate of Ecole Normale Supérieure and Ecole Nationale d’Administration and holder of a teaching degree in philosophy, Pierre Todorov began his career with France’s Council of State in 1986. He joined the Lagardère group in 1990, where he held various executive level positions.
Pierre Todorov will bring to PSA Peugeot Citroën his extensive experience in legal affairs, institutional relations and international corporate governance.
